I am a 53 year old woman with 2 sons, 1 daughter, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, 2 schnausers, 1 cat, a house, 3 guitars and a Miata.
My first grandchild is expected to arrive in October. I looking forward to her arrival.
I have somehow managed to stay married to the same man for 31 years – probably through no fault of my own.
I have survived an alcoholic father, at least one extended bout of depression, and birthing 3 babies “naturally” (no medication – my choice to do it that way) and converting to the Catholic Church.
Finally in life, I have learned to appreciate the joy of girlfriends – the joys of sharing my life with my sisters.
Life is good.
Ditto – 4 sons (2 married, 1 with partner), 1 daughter (with partner). I have a beautiful baby grandson of 4 months of age. I have been married to the same man for 31 years – through thick and thin. I converted to Catholicism before we were married. Have Bi-polar disorder and am WELL experinced in severe depression. BUT…… am well now and I am so GRATEFUL I am alive to know the joy of waking up to a new day and looking forward to every minute of it!!!!!!!
ISN’T LIFE GRAND????
I worked my way through Simple Abundance (Sarah Ban Breathnach) a few years ago. A good exercise, but I didn’t really catch on the at a gut level to the list of things to be thankful for. I think this posting was a case of delayed reaction.
Someone gave me a thought to chew on yesterday: We don’t see things as THEY are – we see things as WE are.
